AVU Open Day 2026
The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague invites prospective students to its Open Day, taking place on 23 October 2026. The event is aimed primarily at applicants for our Czech-language programmes, but anyone curious to see the school and visit our studios is welcome. From 9 am to 5 pm, the Main Building, the School of Architecture, AVU Veletržní and the Moderní galerie will be open to visitors. You can learn about the Academy, its study programmes and the admissions process, and discuss your portfolio with faculty during individual consultations.

The Main Building and the Modern Gallery are wheelchair accessible. The School of Architecture and AVU Veletržní are not.

Portfolio Consulation
To book individual consultations with lecturers in the studios, you must register at dod.avu.cz. The registration form will be open from 12 October 2026 (9.00) to 18 October (23.59). Registration will not be possible outside this period.
Open Studios
Take a look inside the AVU studios and find out about our lecturers’ approach to studio-based work. Each studio organises this time differently – there are presentations, group consultations or a special programme.
